What are Repeat Courses?
A repeat course is a course that is sent from the student information system (SIS) to Stellic as being taken (or registered for) more than one time by any given student. Depending on the circumstances of these courses, Stellic may handle them in a variety of ways:
1. Repeat Courses that count towards degree requirements:
Some of Stellic's partners have course requirements where a student is expected to take the course more than one time or the course is added as an elective that can be repeated. This can indicated via the audit constraints. In addition, for the course to count towards degree requirements more than one time, a course must have the "repeatable" tag, as shown below:
Within the student's Progress, a course that is tagged with the repeatable attribute will show as separate and distinct courses within the degree audit. In the example below, the student completed the course ENP-0099 twice and both instances are counting towards the student's requirements:
2. Repeat courses that are taken for grade replacement/improvement (and are not intended to count multiple times):
In this instance, a student is re-taking a course that is not permitted to count multiple times. The course would not have the "repeatable" tag in the course sidebar. Instead, in both the Progress tab and the Planner, the course will show up with the double circular arrow symbol indicated below:
