Advisors are able to create multiple plans for students on which they have the permission to edit their plan. Please note that there can only be one primary plan for a student, which is the plan that all of the analytics and searches are based on. Any additional plans are for the student's benefit only, and are not able to be queried in Stellic.
To create a new plan, navigate to the "Side-by-Side View" of the student's planner. This will bring up the student's primary plan. Click on the three dot menu next to the student's plan name to prompt the menu to create a new plan:
This prompts a menu where you can toggle between plans that have already been created, or create a new plan.
Clicking on "Create a new plan" brings you to a menu where you can select an option for what the student is planning. Selecting "A different major",allows you to select a specific program and will import all of the requirements for that program.
Once you have selected your reason for creating a plan, (and also selected a new program if you chose that option), you must then select a name for the plan. You can also choose whether you want to include only the student's officially registered and taken courses, or if you would also like to also include all future planned courses from the student's primary plan.
Secondary plans are able to be deleted if desired - the primary plan is not able to be removed. You can toggle between plans by clicking on the 3-dot menu next to the plan name. Currently, there is no way to select one of the secondary plans as a primary plan.
